Son has established himself as one of the premier forwards in the Premier League in recent years while he sits top of Golden Boot charts with eight goals this campaign.
While Son is at the top of the scorers’ charts, the South Korean is only the 16th highest-paid forward in the league, according to Spotrac.
Number one on the list reserved for Manchester City star Raheem Sterling who is said to be earning £300,000 a week after the extension he signed in 2018.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the highest paid African footballer on the list, with recent contract extension giving him £250,000 a week, which is level with Manchester United’s Anthony Martial.
Should Spurs and Son agree to a new deal, the South Korean would move level with teammate Harry Kane, United’s Marcus Rashford and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
